【Indications】Amoxicillin is indicated in the treatment of infections due to susceptible (ONLY β-lactamase–negative) strains of the designated microorganisms in the conditions listed below:
Otitis media, nasosinusitis, pharyngitis and tonsillitis – due to hemolytic streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, staphylococci or Hemophilus influenza.
Urinary tract infections – due to Bacillus coli, Proteus mirabilis or Enterococcus faecalis.
Skin structure infections – due to hemolytic streptococcus, staphylococci and bacillus coli.
Lower respiratory infections, such as acute bronchitis, pneumonia – due to hemolytic streptococcus, staphylococci, Streptococcus pneumoniae or Hemophilus influenza.
Acute simple gonorrhea. It also be used for treatment of typhoid, bacilli carrier and hepatic typhus.
Amoxicillin, in combination with clarithromycin plus lansoprazole as triple therapy, is indicated for the treatment of patients with H. pylori infection and duodenal ulcer disease to eradicate H. pylori. Eradication of H. pylori has been shown to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence.

【Usage & Dosage】Oral administration. Adults – 0.5g (2 capsule) every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 4g (16 capsules). Children – 20 to 40 mg/kg every 8 hours. Infants aged below 3 months, 30 mg/kg/day every 12 hours.

【Contraindications】A history of allergic reaction to any of the penicillins or penicillin skin-test positive patient is a contraindication.
