【Indications】De Zhi® is indicated for the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible organisms: Lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, infections of biliary tract, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, Bacterial septicemia, meningitis. When administered prior to surgical procedures for which it is indicated, De Zhi provides protection from most infections due to susceptible organisms throughout the course of the procedure. A single dose of De Zhi can treat the uncomplicated gonorrhea.

【Usage & Dosage】Be administered intramuscularly or by intravenous drip.
Intramuscular Administration: Reconstitute De Zhi powder with the appropriate 3.6ml sterile water for injection, Sodium Chloride injection, 5% Dextrose solution or 1% hydrochloric acid lidocaine Solution into 1g vial. After reconstitution, each 1 ml of solution contains approximately 250 mg equivalent of ceftriaxone.
Intravenous Administration: With the above 9.6ml intramuscular preparations (not include lidocaine) added into 1g vial, each 1 ml of solution contains 100mg equivalent of ceftriaxone. Administer by intravenous drip with 5% Dextrose solution or 100-250 ml Sodium Chloride injection being dilued.
Adults: Be administered intramuscularly or by intravenous drip. The usual dosage for adult is 1 to 2g (1-2 bottle) every 24hs or 0.5-1g (half-1 bottle) every 12hs. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 4 g (4bottles). The usual duration of therapy is 7 to 14 days.
Pediatric Patients: Be administered by intravenous drip, 20-80mg per kg body weight daily. Children aged 12 years or above can be administered the same dose as adult. Recommended dosage for the treatment of gonorrhea is 0.25g administered intramuscularly as a single dose.

【Contraindications】De Zhi is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity associated with the use of any cephalosporins atibiotics.
